100% of the profit of CPM pre-rolleds will be donated to help with relief in Japan. Come in to CPM today and help us with our donation.

Lakewood, Colorado (CNN) – When the earthquake hit Japan, Shaun Gindi knew he wanted to help.

“I couldn’t believe the devastation. I watched everything get wiped away. Their whole lives were gone,” he said. “There was a moment where I started looking at ways to fly over there, ways to somehow get there to help out.”

Gindi knows nothing about search and rescue, so he soon abandoned that plan. But he is an expert in one area: medical marijuana.

He runs two dispensaries in the Denver area called Compassionate Pain Management. They legally sell marijuana to patients who have received a recommendation from a doctor.

He floated the idea of raising money for Japan on his dispensary’s Facebook page and got a dozen “likes” right away. He knew immediately that he could use his dispensary to raise money. Thus was born “Joints for Japan.”

“What we’re going to do is take all the revenue from the hand-rolled medicine, 100% of it, from this weekend and potentially for the next few weeks … and we’re going to donate it to the Red Cross,” Gindi said.

“Hand-rolled medicine” is medical marijuana-speak for a joint, or a marijuana cigarette. They contain half of a gram of marijuana and are the most popular item in the store. At $5 each, Gindi says, they sell thousands a month.

“We get a lot of people who just come in for these,” Gindi said.

The most difficult part of the endeavor has been coming up with the fundraiser’s name. Gindi’s business is legal under Colorado law. He pays taxes and has 18 full-time employees. But the industry still struggles for respectability.

With that in mind, Gindi rejected contenders such as “Bake for the Quake” and “Joint Relief.”

Gindi hopes his fundraising efforts help bring a bit more respectability to the medical marijuana industry. But ultimately, it is the people of Japan he truly hopes to help.

“In Japan every day, the number of lives lost jumps up. Whatever we can do to help out, we’d like to do.”

Come in to CPM Tuesday thru Thursday for this weeks specials on Honey tincture as well as the strains AK-47, White Widow, Aurora Indica, and Bubba Kush. This weeks savings are as follows:

    * Get Cannabis infused Honey Tinctures 50% off!

    * Buy 4g for $40 and get all additional grams for just $10 more. Choose from the featured strains below.

    * Give CPM a review on www.stickyguide.com to receive 1 free CPM choice gram or 1 free full gram pre-roll.

    * $250 for 32g of any of the featured strains below.

    * 15th and 30th person through the doors every day this week will receive a FREE gram of thier choice!

FEATURED STRAINS

Aurora Indica (Lakewood and Louisville)

Aurora Indica is an Afghan crossed with Northern Lights. Aurora is a short plant but produces heavy colas more than making up for its shorter statue. This plant has exceptional resin production and the buds are dense. Aurora produces a deep, near black hash, aroma and a heavy indica buzz

AK-47 (Louisville Only)

This strain is dark and resinous with compact buds that bristle with red hairs and glistening trichomes. AK-47 has a spiced aroma bordering on skunk, with a hint of sandalwood, but tastes sweeter and more floral than the smell would lead one to expect. The AK-47 buzz is immediate and long lasting with an alert but mellow cerebral effect.

White Widow (Louisville and Lakewood)

White Widow scent is a blend of fruit and musky, putrid qualities – it hints at its potency with the smell, which has more of a bite to it than many fruity smelling strains. The flavor is fairly neutral or even hashy due to the high trichrome count. The strain sometimes has a fruity, flowery bent, but is not known for being all that flavorful in general. The effect is cerebral and uplifting as well as powerful and consistent. Though it keeps you mentally active and positive, it often comes with a strong couchlock tendency, especially later in the duration.

Bubba Kush (Louisville and Lakewood)

Bubba Kush is a potent strain, considered a worldwide hit by many medical marijuana users. It is quite flavorful, bearing a strong earthy taste and has a smooth aftertaste. It is composed mostly of indica and is a powerful relaxant. After the first inhale, you’ll immediately feel a strong head buzz, which spreads to your face, gradually; then makes its way to other parts of your torso and eventually throughout the rest of your body. Extremely good strain for those who deal with severe pain.

CPM Breaks the Status Quo

CPM MMJ Centers Place Focus Back On Patients

DENVER – Feb. 15, 2011 – With its professional staff that take a personal approach to medicine, Compassionate Pain Management (CPM) holistic wellness and medical marijuana centers defy the usual stereotypes associated with the medical marijuana industry – and owner Shaun Gindi likes it that way.

“We want our patients to have a personal experience at CPM,” explains Gindi of the experience patients receive at CPM’s two locations in Louisville and Lakewood. “There’s a reason why it’s just you and your caregiver at CPM.”

Neatly dressed in slacks and shirts, caregivers greet patients and sit down with them to truly discuss their needs. While some medical marijuana centers treat patients as if they’re just another number on the medical marijuana registry, CPM realizes that the industry is only what its patients need. What patients need is attention, said Gindi.

“We want our patients to feel safe – privacy is our No. 1 priority,” Gindi explained. “If the patient is comfortable, then we’re comfortable. But only once the patient feels comfortable can we feel comfortable.”

The medical marijuana experience can be a foreign experience for the average patient. Colorado voters only authorized medical marijuana in 2000, and the rise of dispensaries in Colorado only really took off in the last two years. Gindi and his impressive staff of 26 employees understand this. That is why each patient is seen on a one-on-one basis by a caregiver who strives to keep the experience medical, certainly not recreational, like other dispensaries appear.

It’s not all OG Kush and NYC Diesel strains of medical marijuana at CPM’s two locations. There are actually over 20 strains between the two locations. But CPM also offers massage therapy, acupuncture, reiki practices, craniosacral therapy and pain management care plans in combination with herbs and essential oils.

CPM also hosts doctor days along with the Medical Marijuana Assistance Program of the Rockies (MMAPR). On Tuesdays at the Louisville location and Thursdays at the Lakewood location, CPM patients can meet with a medical doctor to address any concerns and needs they may have.

“For those struggling with disease and chronic pain, we aim to improve their quality of life,” explained Gindi. “When we see that we are reducing a patient’s suffering, and if we’re able to guide them towards overall wellbeing, then that is the greatest reward we as caregivers can ask for.”

Because MOST of you asked:

Text CPM to 29548 and receive an immediate special of $25 for 3 grams!

We will send out an alert when we have a new deal or last minute opportunities which are often screaming deals should you be in the area! And we promise not to inundate you with messages; however, you do have the option to unsubscribe. When we surveyed our patients a few months ago, most of you had said you would prefer to receive our specials and deals through text message instead of email, Facebook, or our website. Of course we would like everyone to come to our website, but we’re both realistic and would rather take care of our patients however they would like.

Simply text CPM to 29548 and you’ll receive the most current deal which right now is $25 for 3g which will be redeemable for up to 3 days.
